The official author page of Margaret E. Cmelik
Welcome to my author page. Come in and make yourself comfortable. Before you do however, I have a few rules so listen carefully. You must remove your shoes before entering. Always use coasters. No smoking. No feet on my coffee table. No drinking out of the milk container. Keep the seat down. Turn lights out when you leave a room. And use your indoor voices. Enjoy your stay!
Notes
I was considering going back and fixing my amateurish first books and maybe colorizing them. Then I thought, that would be like rewriting my diary entries from the seventies or redrawing pictures I drew when I was six. Someday the books will seem “adorable.”
The week before Thanksgiving I don't buy groceries. I forage through the pantry for anything edible and eat mystery leftovers from the freezer so I really enjoy dinner on Thursday. By Wednesday night, nothing is left but the ten-year-old-can of spinach in the corner of the cupboard. The only way it'll get eaten is if I donate it to the food shelf.
I brought all my plants in so they wouldn't freeze. They're everywhere. I have problems letting go. I have a black-eyed Susan on my bedside table. It seems happy and has oodles of flowers on it. I think that means it's happy—or that it's dying and trying to produce seeds before it's gone.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. Gobble, gobble.
